PHOTOArt 2027
Competition & Exhibition
Help Shape the Next Chapter of PhotoArt
PhotoArt has been celebrating local photography and creativity for more than 40 years. After pausing the competition in 2026 due to a shortage of volunteers, we’re working toward bringing it back in 2027 and we’d love your help.
You don’t need to be a photographer. We’re looking for people who appreciate creativity, value the arts, and believe that showcasing local talent helps build a stronger, more vibrant community. If you enjoy giving back, collaborating with others, and helping create opportunities for artists to share their work, we’d love to have you join us.
We’re looking for volunteers to help with:
• Sponsorship & community partnerships
• Social media & marketing
• Image intake & registration
• Judging coordination
• Exhibition planning
• Awards & event logistics
• General committee support

Welcome to PhotoArt Competition & Exhibition
The 'PhotoArt' Competition & Exhibition is a juried photography competition, show & sale, open to both amateur and professional photographers, promoting 'excellence in the art of photography' within the community of Halton Hills, ON.
The event is held each year and is open to adults, youth and children who are residents of the Town of Halton Hills and the surrounding regions. Images may be taken anywhere in the world.
What are the hallmarks of a winning image in PhotoArt? Technical quality, clarity and composition are all important, but so too is a flair for the unexpected and the ability to capture a picture-perfect moment. Over the past 40+ years, our judges have seen thousands of photographs from hundreds of entrants and we continue to look forward to viewing the world through your own unique lens.
Enter photographs in any of our 10 categories and compete to win prizes. After reviewing the contest rules and list of frequently asked questions, you will be fully prepared to enter the contest.
