PHOTOArt 2026
Competition & Exhibition
IMPORTANT NOTICE
After much thought and discussion, we’ve made the difficult decision not to move forward with PhotoArt 2026 as planned. Due to unforeseen circumstances and limited volunteer resources, we’ll be pausing the event for the time being.
Over the past 40+ years, PhotoArt has grown into something truly special — a community-driven celebration of photography and local talent. However, to continue this legacy, we need a new wave of passionate volunteers.
If you value and support local arts & photography, and would like to play a role in shaping the future of PhotoArt, we’d love to connect with people interested in taking on active roles in event management, sponsorship coordination, or community outreach.
Stay tuned for updates — our hope is that with renewed support, PhotoArt will return stronger than ever.

Welcome to PhotoArt Competition & Exhibition
The 'PhotoArt' Competition & Exhibition is a juried photography competition, show & sale, open to both amateur and professional photographers, promoting 'excellence in the art of photography' within the community of Halton Hills, ON.
The event is held each year and is open to adults, youth and children who are residents of the Town of Halton Hills and the surrounding regions. Images may be taken anywhere in the world.
What are the hallmarks of a winning image in PhotoArt? Technical quality, clarity and composition are all important, but so too is a flair for the unexpected and the ability to capture a picture-perfect moment. Over the past 40+ years, our judges have seen thousands of photographs from hundreds of entrants and we continue to look forward to viewing the world through your own unique lens.
Enter photographs in any of our 10 categories and compete to win prizes. After reviewing the contest rules and list of frequently asked questions, you will be fully prepared to enter the contest.
